Austin Group in Melbourne launches Parkable’s staff parking software at new head office
Austin Group has launched Parkable to manage staff parking at their new Melbourne head office.
The business recently combined their two Melbourne office locations into a single head office in Malvern. The building has 50 parking spots; not enough to cater to their staff of over 80 employees on a one-to-one basis.
“With more employees than office parking spots, we needed a car park management tool to provide a fair and equitable solution to all.”
- Will Austin, Chief Executive Officer
With the Parkable app, Austin Group employees can easily request and book parking in advance. The platform’s allocation algorithm then distributes the parking spots between employees, giving everyone an equal chance to access the car park. Plus, by knowing in advance whether there would be a park waiting for them, employees have a stress-free commute and can plan alternative transport when needed.
Austin Group holds a few parking spots aside for senior staff members. Using the app, these employees can easily share their allocated spot with colleagues whenever they’re away from the office, ensuring that the spots are well-utilised.
As well as offering the product features to make staff parking fair and seamless at Austin Group, Parkable provided customer service and onboarding support that made the transition simple for CEO Will Austin and the whole team.
“We have found everyone in the Parkable team, in particular our account manager, a pleasure to deal with. They are highly responsive and have been there at every step to answer our questions as our employees have begun to use the application. The set up and integration has been very easy. We are only in week two, but so far Parkable has exceeded our expectations.”
- Will Austin
One of the best features of Parkable's parking management software is that it allows companies to make the most efficient use of all of their parking bays - even those assigned to individuals.
Solving workplace parking problems is vital to an effective facility management program, but it's also a complicated proposition. Managing parking lots at scale will quickly become more complex than you may have bargained for.
