One of Countryside Partnerships offices is located in Ealing, West London, in a multi-tenant building leased from JLL. It’s a beautifully refurbished building, providing dynamic working environments for creative professionals in this popular and busy part of the city. Countryside currently has 14 parking bays which is used by more than 40 members of staff at different times.

Having previously used a manual system Countryside’s challenge was making sure that the parking spaces were used by multiple people with a simple but effective management system. “The adhoc approach had become difficult and time-consuming to manage. We thought that there must be a more efficient way so we decided to give Parkable a call.”

Countryside’s project team came to us looking for a Parkable solution that would simplify admin, give visibility of occupancy and availability in advance and have the ability to be able to manage the parking allocation.

We created separate user groups to give them flexibility to share spaces with staff. Using Future Booking on the Parkable app, Countryside employees can request a parking spot on days that they are driving into the office, with the system allowing them one day of priority access each week.

We worked with Countryside to develop a painless change management program. EA Saroj received personalized admin training, and together we created internal comms elements – including a customized webinar for staff. Does the way this space is laid out make sense for the organization you're trying to run there and the staff that will be working there? Is it conducive to a hybrid work model? Is it eco-friendly? Accessible to those with disabilities? Is it adaptable to technology? Are you allowed to have it retrofitted or renovated?

Will clients or customers be coming into this space? Are there rooms or areas where they would feel comfortable? Is this office close to where your clients are based or accessible to them? Is the internet there conducive to high-quality video or voice calls? Does it look nice?

Based on your organization's budget, what's the best you can hope for in a space? Is there any space slightly more expensive that is truly worth the money?

Which areas do your staff live in? Does this office need to be close to any other organization offices or spaces? Is it close to public transportation? Is it accessible?

 Does this space offer the kind of technological tools you're looking for? Can this space be adaptable to tech? Are there technological tools already in place to make your life easier/better as a tenant?

 Does this building offer parking at all? Is parking free? How many of your employees or clients would be driving to this office? Are there EV charging stations? Regularly checking if you're within the expected budget goals is also important. Overestimating your budget could also help keep your expectations realistic.

 When trying to adopt new tech, an organization can face obstacles left and right, like a lack of buy-in, employees feeling threatened by the new tech and the learning curve that comes with all new technology. It's important to create an office-wide conversation about how the organization can benefit from these tech changes and how this adoption can actually end up

So now with that storytelling concept in mind, here are a few steps that you can follow to start putting together a business case:


Identify the priorities of your organization or workplace and the challenges that are most pressing. Any tech solution should align with and advance the goals of your organization.


Measure the possible outcomes and effects of this tech on the workplace in terms of your organization's priorities. This is when we want to get into cost-benefit analysis, business value, and other metrics that are relevant to your specific workspace. How, exactly, will this piece of technology end up changing this workplace's numbers? For example, one outcome of the
