Implementing Parkable for an organisation or business is stress-free and seamless. We assign a customer success manager to look after you and guide you through the process of setting up your car park. This includes:
If you have further questions about the on-boarding process, get in touch!
Good news! If your staff currently transact with your payroll and admin staff to take a car park on a cash or salary-sacrifice arrangement, we have a solution for you.
This sector of users can transact their monthly car park licence and payments across the Parkable platform. Our Terms of Service cover everything you need from a legal perspective and Parkable can process payments, distribute payables, and manage receivables for you. This service is covered under the Monthly SaaS Fee for each bay.
First give the app a few minutes to process the request. If you are still uncertain whether your session has ended, flick us a message on the app, or email us. We will then either confirm that your session has ended, or end it for you on our side.
If you receive any additional charges due to an app error and our inability to respond immediately, don't worry! Just flick us a message or email and we'll make sure any extra charges are reversed.
Every Parkable member has agreed to our Terms of Service which includes a clause where every vehicle registered on Parkable requires a minimum of a third-party insurance cover. Plus, every park listed on Parkable is insured under public liability.
Parkable is built on a trusted community, but in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, let us know and we will give you all necessary assistance.
When you cancel a subscription, you retain the park for one more full term from the day of cancellation (a week or a month, depending on your term type).
For example, if you have a monthly subscription which starts on the 1st of the month, and you cancel the subscription on the 10th of the month, your subscription will end on the 10th of the next month.
As you would already have paid for most of this final month, you would be charged only for the remaining days (in this example, you would be charged for the 1st - 10th of the following month).
Parkable’s proprietary gate controllers are compatible with all industry-standard access gates/barriers. If you have pre-existing ANPR cameras contact us to discuss integration options.
If you have already reset your password and still can't log in, try this:
If you still need help, flick us an email at admin@parkable.com and we'll get back to you as soon as humanly possible.
Yep! If the park is shown as available on the app and states that there is 24-hour parking, you can park there.
The only instance that your vehicle is in danger from a fine or towing is when you park outside the available hours stated in the app.
It sounds like the last time you had a session on Parkable, the payment didn’t go through. Make sure your card details are correct, your card is valid, and you have sufficient funds in your account.
Please note that if you have a failed payment and then start a new session, you will also be charged for the previous missing payment. This will show a double charge for the same day on your bank statement.
It depends on where you want to park, and how long your parking session is. Our hosts set their own prices based on their location and demand, and most parks have both hourly and daily prices.
By selecting a pin on the app, you can see both the hourly and day rates available for your chosen car park, as well as any long-term subscriptions options.
Nope! They receive an e-invite instead, so there’s no need to have the app.
Absolutely. You can add as many administrators as you like!
Yes you can! Parkable's app processes credit card payments.
You can use ANPR to only give access to parkers who have already paid for a weekly or monthly parking subscription, or who have an active booking or parking session.
You will receive an automated payment for all revenue, less Parkable and bank fees, on the first week of each following month. Make sure you have your details up to date here so we can pay you.
If your park has made any revenue prior to entering these details, please get in touch so we can make sure this is also included in your next payment.
Read our Terms of Service for more information on fees, GST and payments.
You’ll be emailed a receipt whenever you finish an EV charging session on Parkable. You can also see your charge session history on the Parkable app under ‘Parking history’.
Absolutely. We use a secure third-party secure payment system called Stripe for all charges.
We use push notifications to communicate with you, for example by letting you know when your parking session has started or stopped. Notifications also make communication between us a lot quicker when you get in touch with us via the app!
With Parkable, any unleased or underutilised parks can be offered to your pool of tenants on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. If a tenant has more employees driving into the office than leased parking spots, the employee can book these shared parks when required and pay on a per-session basis.
We’re very sorry to hear that! If you’re unable to leave a car park, please give us a call or contact the building manager.
We’re available 24/7 for any gate issues.
Absolutely! Just contact us and we can advise you on the best charger option for your needs.
To prevent this from happening again, you can set your sessions to ‘auto-end’.
In order to do this:
The cost of EV charging depends on the station.
To check the price before you start a session, go into the Parkable app and open the location pin you’re interested in!
Vouchers can be automatically added to your Parkable account for you, or they can be given to you as a voucher code.
If you have a voucher code, simply load it into the app:
Once a voucher is loaded, it will be automatically applied to your next parking session(s).
How do I know when the voucher has been used?
When a voucher is used you’ll get a ‘Voucher applied!’ notification when you start a parking session. You can also view your current and used vouchers in the ‘Voucher codes’ section in the app.
Visitors receive an email invitation to the car park, including the address, booking time, and instructions. When they arrive at the car park they use their e-invite to open the car park access gate and drive directly to their assigned parking spot. If any issues arise, they can contact your admin team through the webpage!
If you have a subscription park which you don’t use all the time, you have the option of ‘sharing’ your park with other Parkable users.
When your shared subscription park is parked in by someone else, you will receive a reduced fee for next term’s subscription. The discount is a portion of the fee(s) paid by the person or people who used your bay; the fee is split between yourself and the host, minus Parkable's margin. (The portion you receive depends on the host, so if you'd like to learn exactly what percentage you'll receive as a discount, get in touch!)
In short - sharing means a cheaper subscription fee for you next term, and more efficient use of your space!
To share your bay, check out our step-by-step how-to OR follow these instructions:
PS: no one will be allowed to park in your bay unless you change your settings to ‘Share my bay’ on the app. The power is in your hands!
PPS: if you’ve turned on ‘Share my bay’, please don’t be surprised if someone does, in fact, park there! That’s what the sharing setting is for.
PPPS: if your bay is in a building that requires an access card, then sharing your bay unfortunately isn’t an option. Just this once you should go against what your parents taught you and do NOT share.
Contact us here for any enforcement required at your car park. We’ll confirm it on our system and make the necessary arrangements.
Fill out our contact form, or give us a call on 0845 644 8209.
With integrated access control, parkers with an active parking session or subscription can tap a button in the Parkable app to open the gates. Alternatively, you can install ANPR cameras which recognise licence plates and allow the gate to open automatically.
We’re sorry that this happened! You can report this problem through the Parkable app, which will redirect you to another bay number (if one is available).
To report the problem:
This will also send a report directly to our on-the-ground enforcement team, so that they can take action immediately.
If you’ve accidentally cancelled your subscription, you’ll need to wait until your final term ends and then begin a new subscription.
Currently, we’re unable to revert a cancelled subscription, so we apologise for the clunky solution! We’re hoping to have a better solution in the future.
Listing is completely free! Plus there are no contracts, so you can remove your listing at any time
We’re very sorry this has happened! While Parkable isn’t liable for theft or damages, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll see what we can do to help.
We highly recommend removing valuables from vehicles when parked anywhere.
When you cancel a subscription you retain the park for one more full term from the day of cancellation (a week or a month, depending on your term type). Most likely, the payment you were charged was to cover the remainder of your final subscription term.
What should I do if the ‘Open gate’ button is grey, or I’m getting an ‘out of range’ message?
If you’ve tried these fixes and are still having issues, please give us a call. We’re available 24/7 for any gate issues!
In order to decide whether Parkable is right for your organisation or company, you can try it out with a no obligation free trial. This ensures that we’re a perfect fit, and we can iron out any bumps that come up along the way.
During the trial period, we also collect data from those using Parkable to hear their feedback and make improvements.
Sound good? Get in touch to book a demo!
If your car is locked in a Parkable site, you can reach us for help at any time.
Please note:Â parking outside of available times puts you under the risk of being towed or fined. A call out fee applies for after-hours retrieval.
We don’t like that any more than you do! If you have a specific request or an area you'd like us to look into, get it touch and we’ll see what we can do.
Tap the menu button and go to ‘Vouchers’. Add your voucher code - it will be automatically applied to your next charging or parking session(s).
If you have any questions or issues charging your EV in the UK, feel free to give us a call on 0845 644 8209.
To open access gates with the Parkable app, you need to have either an active session, a reservation, or a current subscription.
Next:
Note: You must be close to the gate for the ‘Open gate’ button to work.
If you’re having any issues regarding gate access, please give us a call. We’re available 24/7 for any gate issues!
Any unleased parking assets can be added to Parkable's public marketplace, to be booked and used by members of the Parkable community. You can alter the number of parking spots available to the public at any time, to accommodate the changing needs of your tenants
You guys rule! We support these kinds of initiatives fully. Any remuneration directed to your organisation can then be distributed by you to the charity of your choice, or simply provide the bank account number of your elected charity to us instead of your organisation's and have the remuneration transferred direct to them.
EV drivers use the award-winning Parkable app to find chargers; start, end and pay for charge sessions; and receive automatic receipts. You can learn more about EV charging with Parkable here.
Sorry about that! If you’ve been charged for a parking session that should have been paid for with a voucher, please flick us a message via the app or contact us - we’ll sort it out for you.
If your camera isn’t working, you can add the QR code manually:
Every listing on Parkable goes through a QA process. Make sure your listing has clear instructions in the descriptions as well as clear pictures of where to park.
Have clear instructions and pictures on your listing but it is still turned off?
Drop us an email and we'll tell you what went wrong.
A reservation allows you to book a parking spot for up to 30 minutes before you arrive at the car park.
Once 30 minutes has passed, a paid session will automatically begin for you - so if you change your mind about parking, remember to cancel your reservation!
To reserve a space, simply click on the park you want to use and hit the ‘Reserve’ button.
If your camera isn’t working, you can add the QR code manually. Just open the Parkable app, find the charging station on the map, and follow the prompts to park. When the camera scanner opens, tap the ‘Enter code’ button and type in the 7-character QR code manually.
If your EV chargers are OCPP 1.6J-compliant, they should be able to integrate with Parkable's software.
However, feel free to contact us if you're unsure or have any questions about charger types and integration.
Just open the Parkable app and change the map filter to ‘EV charger’. All of the pins that pop up are EV charging stations that you can book and pay for via Parkable.
We’d love to answer any further questions you have! Get in touch to speak with one of our enterprise parking experts.
If the app says that bays are unavailable, chances are they have been booked in advance or are rented out to someone paying for a long-term subscription.
Parkable is built on a trusted community of parkers and hosts, which depends on everyone starting a session when they park. Please always begin a session with Parkable before parking, and only park in available bays!
The amount of revenue that you can generate will depend on the number of EV chargers, your location, your operating hours and the price you set per kWh. If you would like an estimate, feel free to contact us with an enquiry.Â
It happens to the best of us! Flick us a message via the app or at support@parkable.com and we’ll organise a new one for you.
