If you’re driving into Melbourne CBD, there are parking options, however Melbourne’s car parks are notoriously expensive. Another option is park ‘n’ ride.
For commercial parking, there’s Wilson Parking at various locations, including 172-192 Flinders St, 161 Collins St, 25 Queens Bridge St and 11 Exhibition St, with prices consistently around $25 for an hour or $79 to $85 for a day. Secure Parking and InterPark have a number of locations as well, with similar pricing. At a few of these locations there’s early bird parking for between $18 and $30 a day.
Parking gets slightly cheaper as you go further from the centre, with Golden Square Car Park on Lonsdale Street charging $64 for a day, and $17 early bird, and Point Parking on Lonsdale charging $48 a day and $16 early bird.
Another option? Instead of driving right into Melbourne’s CBD, you can also park with Parkable within the Free Tram Zone and get into the city at a far cheaper rate.
