In the seven months since Reckitt Benckiser started using Parkable, staff parking has become easier, fairer, and far more efficient, leading the company to extend the car park management platform across another 16 parking spots this month. Now that RB is using Parkable, there’s “no worrying about getting a parking spot” and staff have responded “very well”, says office administrator Denise McBirney.
RB originally implemented Parkable because the size of the company car park was reduced, and they wanted to enable sharing between employees to make sure that all of their parking spots were used efficiently, and no one was missing out on parking. The company also wanted to avoid leasing another car park, as it would add a significant real estate cost.
“I am very pleased that we have achieved a solution to our problem that means all staff members can maintain their parking access, while avoiding the extra cost of leasing more parking spaces in another location.”
- Keith Johnston, NZ Finance Manager
As well as the experiential and financial benefits, using Parkable has reduced the administrative work needed to take care of staff parking, leaving more time for other projects.
“Administration on Parkable is extremely straight-forward and very useful, especially the reporting.”
- Denise McBirney, Office Administrator
Reckitt Benckiser is a successful example of how sharing resources between staff can improve parking for everyone, make highly efficient use of space, and reduce real estate expenses. If you would also like to make better use of your staff car park, get in touch for a chat.
One of the best features of Parkable's parking management software is that it allows companies to make the most efficient use of all of their parking bays - even those assigned to individuals.
Solving workplace parking problems is vital to an effective facility management program, but it's also a complicated proposition. Managing parking lots at scale will quickly become more complex than you may have bargained for.
